Driven by our great passion for wine, we have toured many of the world’s major wine regions, and wineries. We have met owners, and winemakers and gained their insight of wine making philosophy, style, and terroir. When we opened our restaurant, we took great care in integrating the design, menu, and wine list to provide a full food-wine experience.
Because of the robust and rustic flavours of our food, Old World wines of the Rhone, Italy, and Spain, plus New World Shiraz, Viognier, and Sauvignon Blanc are featured. While many labels are recognisable, we have balanced them with representation from the other unique, and small wineries we have discovered in our journeys– including an extensive Canadian selection.
Our wine list has been designed to be user-friendly, with indexing, and informative descriptions of varietal characteristics to help with food pairing. Our goal is to make wine approachable, and unpretentious with the important theme of ‘Does it taste good?’.
With this in mind, we want to encourage our guests to experiment with different wines, try new ones, and have greater freedom for pairing with their meal. We offer an extensive by-the-glass program bolstered by two Enomatic machines that allow us to serve some unique premium wines in pristine condition in full and half pours for extended pairing.
Lastly, and most importantly, is our experienced staff, who have been with us for several years and are well-versed in food and wine pairing. We hold regular wine tastings to keep staff polished and current. This, combined with our fine Riedel stemware and our unique wine decanters, allows us to offer exceptional service in an approchable and enjoyable manner.
